Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at NSW Government. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors within our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct security duties in accordance with Security Industry Regulation 2016 and the Security Industry Act 1997.
• Maintain the security and safety of all staff, patients, and visitors within the healthcare facility.
• Work as part of a team to deliver security services aimed at ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and visitors as well as the protection of assets.
Requirements
• Hold a current Class 1A NSW Security Licence, current First Aid Certificate, and a current valid Class C Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively and safely managing confrontation and aggression.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating appropriately and effectively in a wide range of complex situations.
• Demonstrated experience in providing services with a strong responsive customer service focus.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a collaborative way.
• Demonstrated ability to apply ethical standards to decisions made on a day-to-day basis.
• Physical capacity to perform the duties of the position including patrolling, responding, and restraining persons.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems, access control systems, CCTV, and Fire Indication panels.

Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation. The applicant must be certified as compliant with Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases before employment can commence.
Criminal Record Checks
Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants. This position is designated as child-related employment and you will be required to obtain a Working With Children clearance from the Office of the Children's Guardian.
