Job Title: Care Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Services Coordinator to join our team at Churches of Christ in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support services to children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and assess carers to provide high-quality care services to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement family support plans to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Provide crisis intervention and short-term intervention skills to support children, young people, and their families.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure best practice in care services.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum two years' experience in the provision of care services to children, young people, and their families in statutory care.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing training to carers and applying assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks.
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire a National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card), Licensed Care Service (Child Protection).
