Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our team at New England Design & Construction. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive design packages, reports, and other deliverables in alignment with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information essential for project requirements.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery while adhering to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate resources for multidisciplinary teams, including managing subcontractors and staff.
  • Oversee staff management, including training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and collaborate to define project objectives and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Possess or be near qualification as an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng), with extensive experience in design and construction within the drainage sector.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Exhibit familiarity with local highway authority standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor engineering staff and technicians effectively.
  • Proficient in software tools including ASTA, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
