
Victim Support Specialist

This role is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a landmark reform that prioritises the needs of victims and supports their recovery from violent crime.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing written material to understand key issues and exercising sound decision making. They will also provide valuable support to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community, its society and culture, and the issues impacting on it.
- Experience in delivering victim support services or similar services working with people affected by trauma.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in operations, community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services, and/or family violence.
