Victim Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Victim Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals who have experienced trauma and loss, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to navigate their situation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide intake and assessment services to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support.
  • Develop personalized recovery plans with safe exit strategies for clients.
  • Deliver high-quality trauma-informed brief interventions and intensive therapeutic case management services.
  • Collaborate with various agencies, including Victoria Police and The Orange Door.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with people experiencing trauma and loss.
  • Understanding of Family Violence and familiarity with the MARAM Framework.
  • Intake, holistic assessment, care planning, brief interventions, and case management experience.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and innovation.
Position Requirements:
  • Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
  • Victoria Police Check.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification, or 5 years' relevant experience.
