Job Title: Victim Support Specialist
Overview:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Victim Support Specialist to provide critical support and advice to victims of crime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed support services to victims of crime
- Work closely with victims to understand their needs and develop tailored support plans
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Maintain accurate records and reports to inform service improvement
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualification in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services or family violence
- Proven experience delivering trauma-informed support services
- Strong understanding of family violence, sexual assault, and the victim services system
- Commitment to reflective practice and continuous service improvement
- Proficient in case management systems such as Salesforce
Benefits:
This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing team in the Victorian Public Service. VPS Grade 3: $79,122 - $96,073 plus superannuation.
