Role Purpose

As the WHS Manager, you will collaborate with stakeholders to provide expertise, advice, and systems to enhance safety culture and performance. Your task will be to strengthen the safety culture by empowering the team, focusing on business enhancement, people empowerment, and continuous improvement.

  1. Cultivate a robust and unified WHS team that garners trust and recognition from the entire business.
  2. Develop and implement safety systems tailored to meet the specific requirements of the organisation.
  3. Forge strategic partnerships with Station Managers and staff, gaining an in-depth understanding of their operations to proactively minimise risks and incidents.
  4. Offer guidance and support to injured employees, assisting them on their path to a complete recovery.
Experience for Success

As a successful leader in this business, you will require a perfect range of experience and traits, including:

  1. Minimum of 10 years' experience as a WHS specialist.
  2. High-level interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to engage and influence individuals across all tiers and drive effective change management.
  3. A connection with regional Australia, the agricultural industry, and their communities.
  4. Willingness and availability for travel (interstate and remote), often requiring overnight stays.
  5. Tertiary qualifications in WHS, HR, or appropriate business studies would be well regarded.
  6. Prior experience in leading a WHS team across multiple sites, including remote locations.
  7. Current Driver's License (essential).
