Role Summary:

An Operations Specialist will be the driving force behind our company's operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations, manufacturing, supply chain or distribution and possess strong knowledge of Lean methodologies.

About the Role:

The Operations Specialist will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and coaching teams in our Facilities Excellence Model (FEM). They will deliver Continuous Improvement projects using Lean & Six Sigma methodologies, analyse workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and coach teams in the Facilities Excellence Model (FEM)
  • Deliver Continuous Improvement projects using Lean & Six Sigma methodologies
  • Analyse workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and service
  • Support ERP initiatives; governance, data, reporting, and training
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate improvements across operations
  • Provide hands-on support during peak times and trial new processes
  • Act as the local liaison for IT support & coordination to ensure technology supports operations
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure measurable outcomes and sustainability

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain or distribution
  • A proven track record as a Lean/Continuous Improvement practitioner (Green Belt or higher desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and embedding safety-first practices
  • Skilled in data analysis, ERP systems (SAP, M3 or similar), Microsoft Office & process mapping tools
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and hands-on approach; balancing strategy with execution
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and communication skills
