Operational Excellence Lead

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to join our team.

  • Lead and manage a team of leading hands, labours, and pickers to collect and sort materials for recycling as directed by their manager.
  • Ensure the overall safety and wellbeing of their team and external visitors.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance team on plant service and repair requirements when directed to do so.
  • Prepare shift reports, conduct pre-start inspections, and maintain all production-related documentation in order as required and directed by their line manager and internal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of waste classification and demonstrated experience in effective teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

They must be positive and drive our company culture, managing their team with respect and carrying out all duties in line with our policies, procedures, and processes as amended.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of operational staff to achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Safety Management: Ensure the overall safety and wellbeing of the team and external visitors through regular risk assessments and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Maintenance Coordination: Liaise with the Maintenance team on plant service and repair requirements to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare shift reports, conduct pre-start inspections, and maintain all production-related documentation in order as required.
