Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Engineer to join our Global Product department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet compliance requirements in target markets and maintaining product compliance throughout the product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards applicable to our products, markets, and industry.
- Monitor and analyze changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Investigate the regulatory landscape and determine requirements and policy for new markets or technical innovations.
- Collaborate with product development squads and other stakeholders to ensure compliance is integrated into all stages of the product life cycle.
- Coordinate with external testing laboratories, certifiers, and other partners to ensure best-in-class service and efficiency.
- Maintain membership of regulatory groups and forums, advocating for and influencing standards changes and regulatory outcomes.
- Advise project teams on regulatory filings, including internal releases, product registrations, certifications, and documentation maintenance.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Mentor and support project teams on compliance-related issues and emerging requirements.
- Manage and maintain ongoing certifications and homologations for products in specific markets.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and changes in regulatory landscapes.
- Bachelor's degree or above in an engineering discipline or related field with electrical and mechanical knowledge essential.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a compliance role within or servicing the electrical appliance industry.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant global industry regulations, standards, and directives, including UL & IEC Product Safety, EMC, European Low Voltage Directive, WiFi, and chemical, food, and environmental safety regulations.
- Knowledge and experience managing EESS, NOM, KC, CCC, or other country-level regulations and certifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
