About the Payroll Specialist Role

Swarovski seeks a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end weekly payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll data, interface with time and attendance systems, and process reporting for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Administer superannuation contributions, preparing compliance lodgements for STP2, payroll tax, and superannuation.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Collaborate on payroll projects, assisting with month-end processes, including annual and long service leave provisions, bonus provisions, and payroll tax.
  • Manage payroll service point queries and provide ad-hoc reporting to HR and other departments.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to provide information supporting business decision-making.
  • Support audits, both internal and external, and provide excellent customer service for leaders and employees on payroll matters.
  • Log and resolve payroll/system-related queries with the support of providers.
  • Maintain accurate data in payroll and time and attendance systems.
  • Ensure legislative and Award compliance, checking and auditing payrolls, and calculating termination/separation payments.
  • Process bonus/commission, STI (Short Term Incentive), STIP, and Profit Share payments.
  • Calculate, pay, and reconcile payroll and associated tax requirements.
  • Develop and update payroll and time and attendance reference manuals for managers.
  • Run training sessions for managers on Time and Attendance Systems.
  • Perform system upgrades and maintain staff records.
  • Process new hires, job changes, terminations, remuneration, conditions of service, and other matters.
  • Coordinate workers compensation and annual reconciliation of Workers Compensation premiums.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Payroll or completed Payroll Courses for AU and NZ.
  • Experience with Micropay, Dayforce, and Workday.
  • Previous experience in processing Payroll for New Zealand.
  • Legislative and Award compliance knowledge, ability to interpret relevant awards and legislation for AU and NZ.
  • Understanding of General Retail Industry Award.
