Job Description

The Principal Projects Advisor role is a key position that plays a crucial part in supporting the Director-General. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating key executive briefings, datasets, and dashboards to stay across projects and strategies of high priority.

This highly collaborative role involves working closely with areas across the department to ensure accurate, timely, and effective delivery of multi-purpose data sets and project content. The Principal Projects Advisor will also play a critical role in creating meaningful content and enhancing stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and developing the full DTS project suite to produce dashboards, custom briefings, and up-to-date reports as requested.
  • Coordinating the department's monthly reporting cycle which contributes to Ministerial briefings, event and travel packs, parliamentary requirements, and reference material for the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Working closely with the Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Office, the Correspondence Unit, and the Departmental Liaison Officers, as well as the Communications and Media teams to ensure the effective delivery and messaging of the cohesive vision and strategic objectives.
  • Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and management of risk enabling clear and measurable improvements in outcomes for people and communities.
