Position Overview:

Job Description

The role of this Project Officer involves supporting strategic planning and project management efforts to drive organisational objectives forward. Key responsibilities include assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans, contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules, performing research and analysis, preparing reports on project activities, drafting written material such as business cases and corporate documentation, monitoring project expenses, identifying and managing project risks and benefits, and collaborating with team members to achieve project outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

This role requires a strong understanding of agile project management methodology, ability to meet critical deadlines, demonstrated ability to work independently, experience in initiating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effective communication skills, and advanced Microsoft 365 skills. Additionally, knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies is desirable.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Project Management and Coordination: Assist in project management and coordination activities, including monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
  • Project Planning: Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the organisation’s project management framework.
  • Research and Analysis: Perform research and analysis, and contribute to the preparation of reports on project activities.
  • Drafting Written Material: Draft a range of written material, such as business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks and benefits.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve project and business outcomes.
