Job Overview

The Environmental Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the project and business operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This involves providing expert advice on all environmental issues, implementing effective monitoring programs, and conducting regular inspections to guarantee compliance with statutory requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Advisor who will be responsible for reviewing and refining internal environmental procedures, maintaining a deep understanding of relevant legislation, and ensuring that all activities adhere to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive environmental monitoring programs and conduct weekly inspections to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
  • Support the development of Environmental Monthly Reports and contribute to other projects as required
  • Analyze and update internal environmental procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental legislation, regulations, and industry developments
  • Investigate and report on environmental incidents, near misses, or non-compliances, and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Environmental Science/Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an Environmental Advisor role or similar position
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
