Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to contribute to our airport's environmental compliance and sustainability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement tenant and contractor environmental management programs ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and our Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance.
- Review and assess Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for development and operational activities.
- Manage environmental monitoring programs, including water, air, noise, waste, and soil monitoring.
- Investigate and respond to environmental incidents in line with our procedures.
- Deliver environmental inductions and training for staff, tenants, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate databases, records, and regulatory reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in implementing or working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or similar).
- Hands-on experience with inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify risks, trends and compliance gaps.
