Industrial Retrofits Specialist

Experience in industrial retrofits plays a vital role in improving the efficiency and productivity of various sectors. Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is seeking an experienced Industrial Retrofits Specialist to join our global team in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop regional strategy plans for growth through technical knowledge and customer market requirements.
  • Act as technical consultant to sales teams and end-users for all retrofit enquiries and activities.
  • Drive local Regional Sales teams to work towards strategic objectives and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate on rolling forecasts and support the achievement of local and regional targets.
  • Promote identification of retrofit opportunities through technical forums, health checks, asset reviews, and internal training sessions.
  • Build effective client relationships and manage contact processes to influence clients and create preference for Sulzer.
  • Competitor reviews and market trend analysis to support sales strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and leading customer strategies.
  • Produce and review proposals to support the proposal process.
  • Ensure smooth transitions from pre- to post-order status through effective handover meetings and documentation.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Expertise in sales, tendering, applications, mechanical or hydraulic engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management (higher desirable).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supervisory experience, negotiation, and influence.
  • Industry network, understanding of competitive offerings, and knowledge of cultures within the region.
