Job Overview

The role of Remarketing and Loss Recoveries Manager is a critical one, driving the optimization of remarketing and loss recovery performance across both Australia and New Zealand portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive auction partners to achieve optimal sale prices for repossessed assets and monitor operating lease inspections, invoicing, and returns.
  • Manage and communicate team performance to key stakeholders, including setting targets for efficiency, customer experience, and value maximization.
  • Oversee returns and excess charges for operating lease products, manage retailer and brand partner relationships, and support internal reporting requirements.
  • Digitalize processes, deliver efficiency gains, and productivity improvements that yield FTE savings or increase return on investment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, stock levels, valuation accuracy, cure rates, net cost of risk, write-offs, and shortfall contracts.
  • Maximize profitability through effective management of the Australia and New Zealand recoveries portfolio.
Requirements
  • A minimum 5 years' leadership experience with 5+ direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive sector, re-marketing, and auction house partners.
  • Industry expertise in finance, insurance, banking, and consumer credit protection.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive change and overcome barriers.
  • Solid working knowledge of National Consumer Credit Protection, Credit Act, Privacy Act, and Debt Collection Guidelines.
