Our goal is to provide support for victims of crime and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to cope with their trauma.
- We are seeking a Victim Response Officer to manage referrals and provide access to specialist services.
This role involves undertaking referrals for long-term support and recovery, maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, and responding empathetically to victims of crime.
- Key requirements include analysing information, making decisions based on legislation and policies, and communicating effectively with diverse backgrounds.
- The successful candidate will establish and maintain co-operative working relationships with government and non-government entities.

Responsibilities:
- Triage and Referral: Manage referrals for eligible victims of crime and their immediate family, providing trauma-informed support through triage, brokerage, and referrals to specialist services.
- Long-Term Support: Undertake referrals for long-term support and recovery, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and delegated tasks where required.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including government departments and non-government organisations.
- Victim Support: Respond empathetically and effectively to victims of crime, promoting their rights and needs, and facilitating access to available services.

- Decision Making: Makes decisions based on legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Analysis: Analyses information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective.
- Time Management: Completes workload within established timeframes, adjusting priorities as circumstances dictate.
- Communication: Communicates effectively orally or in writing, interacting with diverse backgrounds.
- Relationship Building: Establishes and maintains co-operative working relationships with government and non-government entities.
