Our goal is to provide support for victims of crime and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to cope with their trauma.

  • We are seeking a Victim Response Officer to manage referrals and provide access to specialist services.

This role involves undertaking referrals for long-term support and recovery, maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, and responding empathetically to victims of crime.

  • Key requirements include analysing information, making decisions based on legislation and policies, and communicating effectively with diverse backgrounds.
  • The successful candidate will establish and maintain co-operative working relationships with government and non-government entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage and Referral: Manage referrals for eligible victims of crime and their immediate family, providing trauma-informed support through triage, brokerage, and referrals to specialist services.
  • Long-Term Support: Undertake referrals for long-term support and recovery, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and delegated tasks where required.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including government departments and non-government organisations.
  • Victim Support: Respond empathetically and effectively to victims of crime, promoting their rights and needs, and facilitating access to available services.
