Supporting Young People Through Trauma-Informed Care

Therapeutic Care Role
At our organization, we strive to provide children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse, and neglect a safe and supportive environment where they can heal and rebuild their lives.
As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting these individuals through their healing journey by providing care in therapeutic homes, mentoring them through programs designed to foster positive relationships, and building trust through visible interest and active engagement.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care, maintaining Behaviour Support Plans, Individual Crisis Management Plans, and implementing attachment and trauma-informed care principles. You will also promote independent living skills, demonstrate empathy and understanding of complex trauma, and act as an appropriate adult role model.
Our team operates on a 24/7 rotating rostered shift schedule, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum Certificate IV qualification in a relevant discipline, current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent, and experience working with young people who have experienced trauma.
