Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Victim Services Coordination Unit, providing strategic leadership and management to a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, driving organisational change and improvement, and promoting the Charter of Victims' Rights.

  • Develop educational programs to promote awareness of victims' needs and rights;
  • Ensure information about the operation of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009 is distributed to agencies and the public;
  • Coordinate services with victim service providers to ensure effective delivery;
  • Oversee complaints about contraventions of the victims' charter;
  • Assist victims in obtaining necessary information or assistance;
  • Administer funding to non-government agencies providing services for victims;
  • Contribute to Financial, Human Resource and Performance management activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with trauma-informed approaches.

A degree in social work, law, or a related field is highly desirable, as is knowledge of the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009.
