We are seeking an experienced Expert Payroll Specialist to join our team, offering a competitive salary package ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description: Expert Payroll Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the payroll function at Talent Focus, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and effective use of key IT/software systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Payroll Management: Oversee complete payroll outputs and responsibilities, managing data inputs and outputs across all IT/software requirements.
  • Labour Hire Payroll: Manage Labour Hire payroll for NSW, QLD, and VIC, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Fair Work Australia regulations, taxation rates, superannuation for internal and external stakeholders, and modern awards.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain data integrity across XERO, ASTUTE, Jobadder, and superannuation clearing houses through various sources.
  • Invoicing: Create and send client invoices from XERO for labour hire, and perform twice-weekly reconciliation of XERO including accounts receivable and payable.
  • Timesheet Coordination: Coordinate and finalise all weekly timesheets for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Generate superannuation and weekly labour hire reports as required.

Information Sourcing Management

  • Oversee the sourcing of relevant payroll information, coordination of key information including candidate data, industry insights, and training development solutions with Talent Focus IT/software.
  • Develop and display a strong voice to support Talent Focus business internally and externally via multiple channels.

Communication and Reporting

  • Maintain CRM compliance, ensuring all relevant client and candidate data is uploaded and regularly reported to directors.
  • Exhibit excellent soft skills, being engaging, supportive, and open.
  • Ensure adherence to all reporting and information deadlines using approved formats and templates.
  • Cascade industry insights information to Talent Focus consultants, regularly capturing role information updates from consultants.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with Astute, Jobadder, XERO, and superannuation clearing houses.
  • Experience managing data integrity within IT/software platforms.
  • Knowledge of modern awards and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to capture details succinctly and communicate effectively.
  • Proven organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver critical assessments in a supportive manner.
