Procurement and Grants Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our recovery team as a Procurement and Grants Officer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the procurement and grants management function through effective business operations.
  • Assist with grant application processing, including organizing assessment panels and providing administrative support.
  • Offer advice and high-quality customer service to grant applicants and recipients on contract procedures, funding requirements, and effective service delivery standards.
  • Provide administrative support for procurement processes, including developing templates and/or procurement documentation.
  • Maintain records, trackers, and reports, and respond to external stakeholder queries regarding funding applications and contract progress.

The ideal candidate will have experience in grants administration or program support. They will be detail-focused and possess advanced communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills, serving as the primary point of contact for grant applicants and recipients. They will have strong critical analysis and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to escalate issues. Experience in end-to-end contract management and establishing contract management plans (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector) is desirable. Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Queensland Government legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks related to contract management, procurement, and grants administration is also desirable. Experience with procurement and grant management processes and systems is an advantage.
