About This Role

We are seeking a senior program officer with expertise in procurement and grants management to join our team. As a senior program officer, you will be responsible for conducting robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions.

  • This involves establishing and ensuring governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements, including undertaking a secretariat role for assessment panels.
  • You will also develop procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans, preferably for human and social service contracts in the public sector. They will also possess strong communication and negotiation skills, critical analysis and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to escalate issues.

You will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks related to contract management, procurement, and grants administration.

To be considered for this position, you must have experience in procurement and grant management processes with financial acumen.
