Senior Procurement and Grants Management Specialist

As a Senior Procurement and Grants Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of procurement and grant management processes in human and social services.
This involves establishing and managing long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events, providing practical information, referral to support services, financial assistance through procurement and grants processing, and developing and funding projects in disaster-affected communities.
Responsibilities- Conduct market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements, including undertaking a secretariat role for assessment panels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Experience in procurement and grant management processes with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to escalate issues and provide solutions.
- Proven end-to-end contract management expertise, including establishment of contract management plans for human and social service contracts in the public sector.
- Able to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks related to contract management, procurement, and grants administration.
- Proficient in procurement and grant management systems, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
