About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our Water Resources team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects that expand your skill base and keep you engaged.

As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for various projects, including multi-disciplinary road and rail infrastructure projects, coastal and riverine flood studies, floodplain management, and stormwater management.

You will work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of design solutions that meet client and community expectations. You will also be responsible for maintaining an interest in technological advances and applying innovation to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for various projects.
  • Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of design solutions.
  • Maintain an interest in technological advances and apply innovation to project delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Produce technical models and reports to a high standard.
  • Commit to safe and sustainable delivery of projects.
  • Support and lead the technical preparation of Water Resources proposals.
Requirements
  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Civil engineering, Environmental engineering, Environmental science, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policy.
  • Competence in development of hydrology and hydraulic models.
  • Ability to integrate design solutions with other disciplines.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as TUFLOW, QGIS.
  • Ability to guide more junior staff.
  • Be a Registered Chartered engineer or be on the pathway to obtaining CPEng.
