Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-level to senior engineer with experience in water design and resource management to join our water and sewer team.

This role will involve working closely with project teams to scope, plan, manage, design, and construct water and sewer related assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to master planning development areas through water and sewer servicing strategy planning
  • Develop and manage concept and detailed design of complex works water and sewer assets
  • Work within and assist to coordinate a team of engineers, designers, and draftspeople
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including clients, councils, and service authorities
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of specialist consultants
  • Mentor, guide, and train junior staff
  • Be actively involved in quality assurance requirements

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience, preferably within an engineering design consultancy or water authority environment
  • Extensive knowledge of local design standards and water authority codes
  • Comprehensive design skills and a working knowledge of design programs
  • Practical knowledge in areas such as project management and construction
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Lateral thinking skills to tackle and overcome complex engineering problems
