Water Resources Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our Sydney Civil & Water Resources Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading water resources assessments and providing creative solutions to our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead water resources assessments integrating water balance, water quality, flooding, and drainage aspects for traditional energy and resources projects and emerging asset transition applications.
  • Coordinate and review hydrology and hydraulic modeling to inform planning studies through to detailed design of new infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to complex water management issues.
  • Collaborate with our team of leading practitioners in the NSW industry to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Support the management of multidisciplinary projects and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of environmental issues related to surface water management, particularly for energy and resource clients.
  • Advanced analytical and spreadsheet abilities, with intermediate GIS capability preferred.
  • Candidates with site or construction-based experience looking to apply practical knowledge to complex assessments and design are encouraged.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
  • Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
