About the Role
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with principals, school leadership teams, regional HR teams, and other key stakeholders to drive workforce planning, conduct and performance, employee complaints, IR and ER issues, workplace reforms, teacher transfer process, and injury management referrals.
About You
  • Building trusted partnerships with principals and stakeholders requires excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for analysing data to inform local workforce strategies and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Confidence in working with complex data sets and experience in developing and implementing strategic plans will be highly valued.
  • Encouraging others to think outside the box requires a growth mindset, creativity, and a willingness to take calculated risks.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with senior leaders and build strong relationships across the region.
  • Providing exceptional informal leadership requires a high degree of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Prioritising work and managing time effectively is critical for achieving peak effectiveness in this role.
  • Leading a team of HR professionals and providing direction to a Senior HR Officer requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to empower and develop others.

This role is based at the Metropolitan Regional Office in Ipswich, offering flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. A driver's license is required for daily/weekly driving between schools and department offices.
