Payroll Specialist

About the Role
Randstad is currently partnered with an organisation seeking a Payroll Coordinator to oversee all aspects of payroll, supported by a payroll officer.
The Assignment
- Monday to Friday work schedule
- Opportunity to apply for the ongoing permanent role
- Coloc office, 2-3 days office/Work from home
- $68-75/hr + super
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the completion of payroll function including fortnightly pay runs as well as termination, annual payments
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement for payroll software, processes and service procedures
- Provide advice and support to staff in relation to award interpretation, agreements, legislation, including remuneration package calculations for staff
- Provide reporting to management and executive management as required
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in payroll, accounting, business, or HR
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver high-quality written reports
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently, using initiative to meet objectives
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing and implementing strategies and procedures
- Extensive experience in payroll, including knowledge of relevant legislation and supervisory experience
