Category Growth Specialist

Overview:

As a commercially savvy Category Growth Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the offering of our Marketplace and driving remarkable customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive growth within assigned categories.
  • Relationship Management: Oversee relationships with key accounts to ensure their success and maximize their impact on our marketplace.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor sales data, market trends, and account performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaboration with Sellers: Work closely with sellers to optimize product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make data-driven decisions.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing plans tailored to the needs of each category, in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Product Optimization: Ensure product listings are optimized for visibility and sales conversion, including accurate descriptions, images, and pricing.
  • Promotional Campaigns: Coordinate with sellers to plan and execute effective promotional campaigns that drive category growth.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly report on category performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
  • University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Marketing etc)
  • Commercially savvy, with demonstrated experience and success within a commercial role, preferably within Category Management in a Retail or eCommerce environment
  • Highly analytical and logical, and always looking for new areas of opportunity
  • Able to develop strong relationships, through excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Have developed exceptional time management skills, being able to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines successfully
  • Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity
