The Role

This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic category plans to drive business growth while ensuring alignment with broader objectives.

  • Creating annual category plans including product, price, and promotional strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Managing supplier relationships to optimize trading terms, promotional support, and innovation.
  • Effective range and space management through up-to-date planograms and data-driven decisions to drive market share and sales.
  • Delivering category performance metrics supported by regular data analysis and actionable insights.
  • Executing new store openings with accurate ranging, promotional stock planning, and supplier engagement.
  • Maintaining compliance across merchandising standards, pricing reviews, and promotional programs.
About You

We seek a commercially astute category leader with:

  • Experience in category management, merchandise planning, or buying preferably within retail or FMCG environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive sales and margin improvement through data-led strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, promotional planning, and range optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in interpreting category data, analyzing performance, and generating actionable insights.
