Job Title: Childcare Educator

The Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity located in Bendigo South. As our new Childcare Permanent Educator, your role is to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.

You will be intrinsically motivated to support and guide children's learning, while developing your own career and knowledge within the childcare sector. As an Educator, you will be supported by your Centre Leadership Team in your new role, as you learn the fundamental skills of being an inspired Educator within our community.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Bring our values to life and reflect this in everyday practice.
  • Ability to adhere to our child-safe policy and code of conduct
  • Assist with observations of individuals and groups of children
  • Assist in the evaluation of children in terms of individual strengths, weaknesses, interests, and preferences, which is then used to design activities to be included in the programme.
  • Assist with the program design, implemented, and evaluated in consultation with others to foster all aspects of children's development in a holistic way.
  • Work as an effective team member and within the defined position description.
  • Seek and accept support from your Lead Educators, Educational Leader, and Centre Manager
About You

You are creative and child-focused with a passion to lead and develop age-specific programs and daily routines. You will work as part of the centre team, building strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.

Key Skills and Requirements

Key requirements include:

  • A recognised Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience leading and developing age-specific programs and routines
  • An approved Working with Children Check (State Specific)
  • Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid Certificates
