Senior HR Advisor, Workplace Relations, Performance and Conduct

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team in the Corporate Operations Branch. The successful candidate will have a strong background in workplace relations, performance, and conduct, with a tertiary qualification in human resource management or law.
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the team's responsible HR areas, including workplace relations, performance, or conduct. They will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice. They will also be required to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative strategies to improve departmental outcomes when managing complex sensitive people matters, staff engagement, and workplace consultation.
The role will involve representing the department in dealings with unions and other stakeholders, preparing materials to assist with representation at tribunals and external jurisdictions, and assisting and supporting the research, development, management, and implementation of enterprise agreements, HR Policies, and employment contracts.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships. They will also have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and agreements.
