We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Philanthropy to join our team at the University of Melbourne's Cumming Global Centre for Pandemic Therapeutics. About the Centre

The Cumming Global Centre is a world-renowned centre of research excellence, established with a transformational gift of $250m by philanthropist Geoff Cumming and his family. Led by Professor Sharon Lewin, the Centre is positioned to make a significant impact in developing treatments for and protecting human lives from future pandemic threats.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns to drive major gifts of $1M+
  • Lead integrated advancement programs, working closely with colleagues in the Centre, the Doherty Institute, and University Advancement
  • Foster close collaboration with key stakeholders, including donors, academics, and professional colleagues
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, including principal gifts of $5M+
About You

We are looking for a proven principal and major gift fundraiser with experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns. You will have a track record of success in major gift fundraising at the $1M+ level, with outstanding diplomacy and interpersonal skills, and high-level influencing, negotiating, and motivational capability.
