About Kids Under Cover:

Kids Under Cover is a dedicated non-profit organisation that tackles youth homelessness by providing stable accommodation and scholarships to vulnerable young people. Our mission is to prevent and end youth homelessness, offering them stability and opportunities to thrive.

We strive to create a nurturing environment for disadvantaged youth, supporting them in their journey towards independence.

Our studios house nearly 1,000 young people each night, making a significant impact on their lives. We are committed to innovative solutions and aim to make a positive difference in the community.

About the Role:

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will play a crucial role in leading our fundraising and communications efforts. As an integral member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for your respective portfolios. Your primary objective will be to develop and implement a long-term Fundraising and Communications strategy, ensuring sustainable growth across all income streams while driving engagement and enhancing the profile of Kids Under Cover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to drive income growth across various streams, including philanthropy, trusts, major donors, individual giving, corporate partnerships, bequests, events, appeals, and community fundraising.
  • Promote and enhance the organisational brand through effective communications and marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and community groups.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in strategic fundraising with expertise in managing complex budgets and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams to achieve their best work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and promoting a positive organisational image.
