About the Role

As a Senior Caseworker, you will work closely with our clients to address the root causes of offending, such as family dysfunction, mental health challenges, trauma, disability, poverty, and social disconnection. You will connect clients with essential services in housing, education, and welfare through advocacy, referrals, and coordination.

You will also collaborate with professionals like lawyers and doctors to safeguard clients' rights and ensure access to appropriate care. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us to deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed case management for Aboriginal young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address their complex issues
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and community stakeholders to provide comprehensive support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service providers to ensure seamless referrals and coordination
  • Conduct thorough assessments and create detailed reports to inform decision-making
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and significant experience in case management or a related field
  • Valid Police Check and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
