Culturally Sensitive Management Position
We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of culturally sensitive management position. This individual will be responsible for leading cultural planning initiatives within our organization, focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander membership and staff.
The selected candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including key organizations and committees, to implement our commitment to culturally appropriate and accessible psychiatric care. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and providing leadership for the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer position.
- Fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including the Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association (AIDA) and the Leaders in Indigenous Medical Education (LIME) Network.
- Maintaining membership of the AIDA Specialist Trainee Support Program Cross College Project Group.
- Collaborating with other staff, committees, members, and stakeholders to progress actions from various initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and lived experience on issues impacting healthcare for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as strong communication skills and relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience in management, public health, policy, or other relevant areas.
