About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer to join our Project Strategy & Delivery team in Queensland, Australia. As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our committed work and growing pipeline of prospects for government and institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and improve commercial outcomes for clients and projects.
  • Manage commercial negotiations with various parties, including clients and industry partners, in complex arrangements across joint ventures, design and construct engagements, and collaborative delivery models.
  • Conduct client feasibility studies, advise on procurement strategies, and contract selection, and develop client contract packages for various elements of project delivery.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve commercial management procedures, templates, and products that enhance client services.
  • Collaborate with in-house counsel, insurance managers, and technical leads to produce fit-for-purpose internal solutions to commercial risks.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification such as engineering, project management, commercial management, law, or business.
  • Experience in infrastructure consultancies and delivery of major projects; practical experience of Standard Forms of infrastructure contracts.
  • Strong commercial skills and detailed understanding of relevant procurement and delivery strategies in Queensland.
  • Sector experience in one or more of the following: energy, transport, education, or health.
