About the Role:

We are seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at Vero Insurance. This is a critical role that requires an individual with extensive technical security experience, particularly in large corporations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote innovative technology strategies and recommendations to address business needs while aligning with vendor roadmaps and technology direction
  • Develop and maintain physical security specifications for Suncorp sites
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the Physical Security team as needed
  • Evaluate and enhance platform and technology stability for optimal service capability
  • Monitor and assess technical security measures for performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with Security Operations Advisor and the Security Operations Centre to ensure capacity, monitoring, and maintenance reporting is regularly produced and reviewed
  • Produce periodic and ad-hoc security reporting as directed by Manager, Physical Security
  • Lead Physical Security Technology projects to ensure outcomes align with relevant policy, procedures, and specifications

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of technical security experience, preferably in a large corporation
  • Previous experience working with Third-Party suppliers
  • Desirable skills include branch and retail technology and installation experience, commercial building technology and installation experience, ATM experience technology and installation experience, operational site experience, and Security Risk Management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Gallagher Advanced Administrator Training is highly desirable
