About Us

At Heirloom, we are driven by a singular mission: to harness the power of natural carbon capture and utilize it as a transformative solution for mitigating climate change. Our vision is to create a world where greenhouse gas emissions are significantly reduced, and the air we breathe is cleaner and healthier.

We come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by a shared passion for innovation, sustainability, and making a tangible impact on our planet. As engineers, scientists, and concerned humans, we pool our knowledge and skills to build a more equitable and prosperous future for all.

Our company culture is built on four guiding principles:

  • Radical Honesty: We prioritize transparency, openness, and inclusivity in everything we do, fostering an environment where every voice is heard and valued.
  • Persistent Optimism: We approach challenges with an unwavering sense of hope and resilience, constantly seeking new opportunities for growth and learning.
  • Maximize our Learning Rate: We recognize that compounding knowledge is key to achieving our goals, so we continuously hone our crafts, seek new paths to learning, and absorb knowledge at an exponential rate.

Why Heirloom?

We are solving one of the most pressing engineering problems of our generation: climate change. By tackling this challenge head-on, we're not only helping to preserve our planet but also creating a thriving industry that will rival the largest the world has ever seen.

We're well-funded by top-tier investors, including Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Ahren Innovation Capital, Carbon Direct, Microsoft, Lowercarbon Capital, ARPA-e, and the National Science Foundation. Our early customers include Stripe, Shopify, and Klarna, and we're building durable partnerships that enable us to tackle this decades-long problem.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Chief Carbon Deployment Officer to lead the rapid expansion of our Direct Air Capture (DAC) capacity both in the U.S. and internationally. This role will be pivotal in driving the development of modular, scalable megaton plants by combining cutting-edge technological innovation with flawless project execution.

You'll bring expertise in modular, scalable plant design and construction, with a proven track record of driving cost reduction and schedule compression while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.

As a leader, you'll demonstrate the ability to prioritize and execute tasks to achieve both corporate and project goals, effectively communicating project status and risks to all stakeholders. Your deep understanding of construction as a manufacturing process will be essential in optimizing our 'Project as a Production System' approach.
