About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technical Director - Geotechnical and Tunnels at SNC-Lavalin Australia. As a key figure in representing our brand, you will drive growth both locally and internationally. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to engage with clients, lead complex technical discussions, and ensure high standards in design deliverables across a variety of infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee analysis and reporting for tunnel and geotechnical design projects.
  • Ensure appropriate technical standards, quality assurance and safety requirements are maintained during design and construction.
  • Provide expert input in materials testing, scoping objectives, and geotechnical investigations to inform design recommendations.
  • Contribute to winning work by assisting with proposal submissions, developing new business opportunities and growing client relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring high-quality technical design outputs.
  • Collaborate internally with discipline teams, Technical Leads, the GTC team, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in Australia and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Support the Geotechnical Team Lead and Director of E&D on business development and strategic opportunities.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $170,000-$200,000 AUD, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a competitive salary package, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional development.
