About this role

We're seeking a skilled professional to manage a diverse portfolio of life, disability, and income protection claims. You'll be responsible for providing expert advice, investigating and assessing claims, and coaching our team to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage complex claims and implement proactive strategies to benefit both members and stakeholders.
  2. Engage with members and key players to understand the full picture of their illness or injury.
  3. Work collaboratively to gather information, provide updates, and make decisions.
  4. Support and mentor less experienced team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Identify opportunities to enhance processes and positively impact member service delivery.

About you

  • You'll have excellent technical knowledge and the ability to balance this with empathy when guiding the team through complex claims.
  • You'll be proactive, collaborative, and committed to improving processes and supporting the team's growth.
  • You'll have solid experience in holistic claims management and have worked with Early Intervention Services, Rehabilitation, and Community Services.
  • You'll have experience in the life/disability insurance claims industry.
  • You'll be passionate about mentoring and developing others to achieve their potential.
  • You'll hold tertiary qualifications in a related field.
