Corporate Nursing Team Member

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Administration Officer to join our Corporate Nursing team at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating inter-hospital transfers & direct admission pathways (IHT | DAP) and contributing to effective communication using Electronic Management Records (EMR), Calvary Patients, and SIFT (Southern Interface Transfers).

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with the Hospital Coordinator team and State-wide Operational Command Centre (SOCC) team to ensure effective administrative functions.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties as directed by the Office Manager and/or the Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information concerning patients and hospital personnel.
  • Manage a variable workload and work under pressure, including backfilling for Hospital Coordinators and SOCC offices as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

The Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the SALHN Operational Centre and Patient Flow Services. This includes:

  • Facilitating communication between teams and stakeholders.
  • Managing data and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing high-quality customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Personal Qualities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high level of personal organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Interpersonal skills consistent with providing high-quality customer service and fostering trust and cooperation among team members; and
  • Flexibility across 7 days per week with 3 shifts per day (7:00am – 4:00pm; 4:00pm – Midnight; Midnight – 8:00am).
