Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Claims Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Recoveries Team, you will provide operational and technical support while managing a portfolio of subrogation and recovery matters across all lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor junior recovery claim handlers in your technical field, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Handle and manage your own portfolio of subrogation recovery claims for Chubb and/or other regional entities, utilizing your knowledge and skills to maximize recovery results.
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively with third parties, including brokers, insureds, counsel, and third-party representatives, to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Utilize company systems efficiently to ensure all recovery information is readily available to the team, streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
  • Seek technical assistance when handling recovery claims exceeding authority, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory rules and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain an active diary to achieve timely development and disposition of recovery claims, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Promptly document all developments in the recovery claims system, maintaining accurate records and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Assist in collating recovery data as needed, analyzing trends and insights to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Negotiate compromise settlements effectively, balancing business needs with customer requirements.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including claim departments, customer services, risk control, underwriting departments, and brokers, building strong relationships and driving collaboration.
  • Adhere to relevant statutory rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace environment.
  • Effectively control vendor use, work product, and expenses, optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Recoveries Claims Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
