About the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Military Compensation practice in our Brisbane office. The position is permanent full time however we are open to hybrid work arrangements after sufficient training. You will be reporting to a Lawyer, and as one of the support team members, you will help maintain and drive the success of the department.
- You will communicate with clients, lawyers and other professionals to ensure successful outcomes.
- You will arrange appointments and extensive diary management.
- You will assist with all administration and management of files.
- You will prepare legal correspondence and filing court documents.
- You will prepare briefs.
- You will manage a database and generate reports.
- You will generate & edit correspondence.
You will be an experienced Legal Assistant with a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients. To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant, with a solid legal background and understanding of Personal Injury or Workers Compensation.
- A proven ability in working as part of a team.
- A high attention to detail.
- Proven time management.
- The ability to deal sensitively with clients.
- The ability to work independently.
- Availability to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
