Seeking Specialist Family Violence Counsellors

The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) offers specialised assistance to individuals affected by family violence.
This service is part of a comprehensive support system, prioritising the safety and well-being of victim survivors.
The Role:
- Collaborate with a professional team in delivering services to adults, children, and young people impacted by family violence as part of a multidisciplinary service established through the Government's initiative.
- Provide specialist services to individuals affected by family violence in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative framework.
- Develop programs addressing the complex needs of adults, children, and young people affected by family violence.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrated understanding of family violence and its impact on individuals.
- Able to work effectively with complex cases, applying appropriate models of intervention.
- Exercise professional judgment and initiative, working under general supervision and seeking guidance as needed.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills, ensuring high-quality client care.
- Strong communication and liaison skills, facilitating collaboration with clients, carers, and other stakeholders.
