Specialist Counsellor for Sexual Assault Services

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced counsellor to provide specialist services to individuals impacted by sexual assault.
Counsellors work in various locations across North and North West Tasmania, offering outreach services and educational programs. They have access to internal and external supervision, professional development opportunities, and the support of a skilled team.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proven knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault, along with experience in trauma-informed counselling, is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with adult, young people, and/or children who have been affected by sexual assault and violence.
- Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Tasmanian legislation and policies related to sexual assault, child protection, and family violence is necessary.
