Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. The successful candidate will provide clinical mental health nursing expertise for children, adolescents, peri-natal women, and their families with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialist mental health nursing assessment, risk assessment, and clinical intervention to consumers with complex/immediate mental health needs.
Ensure follow-up/referral for mental health consumers within the Paediatric Emergency Department and inpatient areas as required.
Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to staff on mental health issues affecting children, adolescents, and their families.
Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for consumers and their families.
Stay up-to-date with best practice and research in child and adolescent mental health to inform clinical practice and service development.

Requirements:
Registered Nurse/Midwife with a qualification in mental health practice and at least 3 years post-registration experience.
Experience in acute and/or child and adolescent mental health settings is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with consumers, carers, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care that respects individual differences and promotes positive outcomes.

Salary Package:
Salary: $121,537 to $126,970 pro rata (plus benefits).
