This role is ideal for an experienced and skilled professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of data center services.
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that service reports, expense claims, and other required documents are submitted on time. Time sheets must be filled out correctly and submitted weekly. Field service reports must be completed for every service call made, signed by the customer whether the work is chargeable or not.
Key responsibilities include carrying out commissioning, service contract maintenance, and after-hours service commitments in a professional and efficient manner. This includes maintaining proper relationships between clients and the company, ensuring all complaints are reported promptly so remedial action can be taken.
The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring a level of competence is maintained to handle technology requirements through available training and personal updating. A Company vehicle, personal dress, and appearance should be presentable at all times.
In addition, the job holder will be expected to fill out spare parts van stock requisitions when stock is required, maintain accurate records of stock in service vans and store, and be aware of both sales and service opportunities for the company. They will report any such opportunities to management and ensure the Sales Department is made aware of all new sales opportunities and prospects.
Finally, the job holder will be responsible for complying with all Work, Health, and Safety, Environment, and Quality obligations, actively promoting safety in the workplace.
Requirements- Electrical/Electronics Trade Certificate (ideally)
- Relevant State-based Electrical Licence (A Grade License)
- Commercial acumen
- Technical knowledge in data centres, telecom, commercial, and industrial industries
- Proven track record within the power industry as a service technician
