Role Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and underwrite profitable accounts within established underwriting limits under the guidance of the PCM and Country GM.
- Develop and nurture relationships with brokers as directed by the PCM.
- Oversee assigned accounts, ensuring effective document management in accordance with operational protocols.
- Conduct Technical Underwriting - assess and underwrite business within authority through a comprehensive risk evaluation process, considering loss control, claims history, and relevant risk management factors.
- Ensure compliance with all underwriting guidelines and necessary referrals.
- Provide precise reports as required.
- Engage in Business Development and Retention - stay informed about market dynamics and trends.
- Lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency and establishing a target operating model that optimizes resources and revenue generation.
- Collaborate proactively with various internal stakeholders for technical or marketing support in business development efforts.
- Identify opportunities to enhance synergies and participate in cross-selling initiatives within the Profit Centre and with other Profit Centres.
- Establish and maintain robust personal and professional relationships with clients and brokers.
- Manage Business Operations - adhere to internal service level agreements to ensure operational efficiency and meet agreed customer service standards.
- Continuously strive to lower the expense ratio by focusing on efficiencies and opportunities to maximize productivity through process streamlining.
- Ensure adherence to audit, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Perform any additional duties or assignments as directed by the PCM.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in business, economics, insurance, or marketing.
- Relevant years of experience in the industry.
- Industry attachments will be viewed favorably.
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and codes.
- Skills: Marketing Relationship Management, Strategic Planning, Accountability, Budgeting, Business Acumen, Business Development, Competitive Analysis, Presentation Skills, Decision Making, Distribution Management.
